The Rodon Group is pleased to announce “Made in the USA” movie release

"Made in the USA, The 30 Day Journey" movie was officially released on Tuesday, April 16th.  The Rodon Group and K’NEX Brands have supported this effort and the work of Josh Miller, film director, since the project’s inception.

Made in America movie coverJosh began his journey after his father-in law lost his job in an aluminum factory in Ravenswood, West Virginia.  Witnessing the downturn in the economy and more importantly manufacturing, Josh Miller and his production team set out on a coast to coast trek traversing the US in 30 days.  They visited American Manufacturers throughout the country from stained glass artisans to clothing designers.  The Rodon Group and K’NEX Brands, LLC were filmed on day 15 on their schedule.  The crew was able to see firsthand how K’NEX construction toys are made at The Rodon Group,

Along the way, the Made in the USA crew attempted to use only American made products.  This commitment made it impossible to watch TV.  Even taking a shower became a challenge.   Not many motels and hotels have “Made In America” bathroom fixtures.

Below is a trailer for the film.   To purchase the movie, please visit this website.

The Rodon Group has been a supporter of Josh’s efforts and is an active member of several groups focused on promoting Made In America products.  Our president Mike Araten is on the board of American Made Matters, a consortium of American manufacturers and resellers who work to help consumers locate US-made products and in doing so strengthen the American economy.

We are also sponsors of the Made In America Movement whose mandate is “To play a part in the restoration of the U.S. economy by connecting American manufactures with consumers, educating consumers on the importance of buying American made products, and partnering with American manufacturers and businesses to collaborate on maximizing their use and distribution of Made in USA products.”

Today a growing number of groups, retailers and websites have made a commitment to promote American made products and manufacturers.  For a recent list compiled by The Rodon Group, please see our article entitled "The Craze for all things American-Made".
