On my morning drive, I was listening to an interview of a mother and father who lost their son in Afghanistan. They described how the Marines came to their door late one evening to deliver the tragic news. How they spoke of their son, their memories and their tears, reminded me of the real cost of war. It is not measured in the total number of casualties, but the grief felt by those who loved them.
With the winter games taking place in Sochi, Russia, we thought it would be fitting to spotlight someone in The Rodon Group family with Olympic aspirations.

On November 19th, 2013, we're encouraging consumers to buy at least one American-made product. In Pennsylvania, this day is now known as American Made Matters Day. It is the brainchild of the American Made Matters organization and their over 200 manufacturers and craftspeople. They want consumers to see how easy it is to buy American-made products and begin checking tags and looking for the American Made Matters logo when shopping this holiday season and throughout the year.
July Fourth is one of our favorite holidays. It is a time to reflect on how lucky we are to be Americans and create great products here at home. We have been on the forefront of the American Manufacturing renaissance and have witnessed the positive impact manufacturing jobs have had throughout the country. We spend a great deal of time in our blog discussing the resurgence of the US Manufacturing sector and the pride we take in all things American made. Well, there is no better tribute to the American spirit than the Boston Marathon. This year’s event, while marked by tragedy, is a testimony to all the makes America great.
Matt Baranoski, son of Rodon tool designer Mike Baranoski, is having a winning session at the track, the Velodrome track. This 2010 Elite National Keirin Champion and Junior World Medalist continued his dominance in the sport on Friday, July 28th at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center with another victory in the highly competitive Keirin Cup.
The Rodon Group and K’NEX Brands are proud to have once again sponsored team Cyclepaths in the 2011 MS 150 City to Shore ride. The event, held September 24 & 25, 2011 included a 25 to 175 mile route over two days.
