Celebrate American, Buy American!

On November 19th, we celebrated the first annual American Made Matters Day with business colleagues and friends at a special event hosted by The Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce.  Hearing the stories told by successful American manufacturing entrepreneurs was truly inspiring.  It makes one feel that we can do this; we can get our economy out of this slump by purchasing things made in the USA.

While our government may have come to a standstill last week on Friday, October 4th, Manufacturing Day at The Rodon Group continued with a few last minute changes.  Absent were our local congressman and delegates from the Commerce Department.  However, we still had a great turnout including educators, workforce development professionals and local business leaders.  Our speakers included our President and CEO Michael Araten, the CEO of Bollman Hats and Founder of American Made Matters, Don Rongione as well as John Grant, Manager of Government Affairs for SPI, The Plastics Industry Trade Association.

The Rodon Group to host a Manufacturing Day Event on October 5, 2012

Come join The Rodon Group for a tour of our automated tooling and molding facility.

The Rodon Group is hosting an open house at its manufacturing facility at 2800 Sterling Drive, Hatfield, PA in celebration of national Manufacturing Day on October 5, 2012. The open house tours will be conducted at 10 am and 2 pm and are open to the Philadelphia area community.

The Rodon Group manufactures K'NEX™ Construction Toys for our sister company as well as other custom manufactured parts. Visitors will get a behind the scenes look at our design and machine rooms as well as our plastic injection mold presses.

A consortium of national manufacturing trade groups including are calling on their members to join in the celebration.  This  may include plant tours, open house events and career workshops.  So far, manufacturing companies from California to Pennsylvania have signed up to participate and the list is growing every day.
