History of Rodon

History of Rodon

1956

Irving Glickman, a veteran of the manufacturing field, starts The Rodon Group in 1956 while working at ELGO Rubber. This small company grew steadily under Glickman’s strategic investments in equipment and materials. As a pioneer of synthetic rubber, Glickman saw the greater potential of thermoplastics and was passionate about cost-effective manufacturing materials and techniques. That dedication helped get Rodon off the ground as ELGO Rubber eventually closed.

Irving Glickman retires and his son, Joel Glickman, becomes Rodon’s new president.

1978

Irving Glickman’s son Robert Glickman joins The Rodon Group.
