Since our founding in 1956, The Rodon Group has crafted billions of high-quality plastic components for all types of applications, earning us a reputation as one of the industry’s best high-volume injection molding providers for both standard parts and complex custom projects.

Our experienced engineers can tackle all kinds of design and manufacturing challenges while ensuring clients receive only the most cost-effective, high-quality parts. Below, to better illustrate our capabilities, we’ve outlined a case study of our work on point-of-purchase display components. plastic injection molded sign holders and point of purchase display parts

Point-of-purchase displays and custom merchandising solutions must be able to withstand the rigors of everyday wear and tear while maintaining optimal aesthetics. One of our clients — a merchandising and display company — required a variety of point-of-purchase components, manufactured to tight tolerances.

This client needed a range of point-of-purchase display components, manufactured in various sizes and forms. These parts all required a fine, display-grade surface finish, close tolerances, and performance reliability.

The customer supplied prints detailing the required parts, which included pegboard hooks, shelf dividers, and product stops. Paying special attention to critical aspects like cavity dimensions, gate locations, and venting and cooling systems, our team constructed molds using a variety of injection molding presses in the 46- to 233-ton range and also made use of EDM equipment to ensure all components featured fine quality surfaces.

Achieving optimal production cycle times, our team was able to create high-quality components — ranging in size from 5/8 square inch to up to 3.5 inches long and 19 inches wide — adhering to tolerances as close to +/- 0.005 inches. And, in tandem with our EDM machining, our high-quality resin materials, and robust quality management program — which includes machine vision inspection and various tests and measurement procedures — ensured that every finished part had an extremely fine, clear surface, without the need for additional processing.
